Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, today officially inaugurated the highly anticipated St. Finbarr’s College Road Project, a critical development aimed at enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth in the state.
The 4.7-kilometer road begins at the UNILAG Gate Junction, linking key areas such as Jagunmolu, Asani, Tijani Ashogbon, Shogbamu, and Diya Street, and culminates at the Deeper Life Headquarters in Gbagada. This project exemplifies the state government’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that supports education, commerce, and residential communities.
Equipped with modern features, including pedestrian walkways, service ducts, and solar-powered streetlights, the road is designed to improve commuting, enhance safety, and elevate the quality of life for residents. During the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged residents to take ownership of these roads through proper maintenance to ensure longevity. He emphasized that resources saved through careful upkeep can be redirected toward scaling up infrastructure projects across Lagos.
“Quality delivery is our top priority, and Lagos will not settle for anything less,” the governor stated. This project aligns with the THEMES+ agenda, which focuses on achieving equitable development and building a Greater Lagos for all.
