Starting today, the Lagos Red Line Rail Service is expanding its capacity to offer nine daily trips, with five morning and four evening journeys—a significant increase from just two morning trips. This upgrade enhances commuting options for residents traveling between Agbado and Oyingbo, ensuring a smoother and more efficient transit experience.

With a total journey time of just 50 minutes from Agbado to Oyingbo and reduced station wait times of only two minutes, the Red Line delivers fast, reliable, and convenient transportation for Lagos commuters.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in an announcement on his X handle, emphasized the importance of this milestone:

“This expansion reflects our commitment to improving mobility across Lagos. The arrival of three new train sets will further boost the Red Line’s capacity, strengthening its role as a key part of our integrated transport system.”

He further highlighted the transformative impact of the Red Line:

“This isn’t just a train service—it’s a game-changer for commuting in Lagos. We are building a city where connectivity drives economic growth and enhances the quality of life for all residents.”

With this expansion, the Lagos Red Line continues to redefine urban transportation, providing a faster, more efficient way for thousands of residents to move across the city.
