Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is one of the administrative units in Lagos State, Nigeria, created to bring governance closer to the people and enhance local development. Established in October 2003 under the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the LCDA was carved out of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government to ensure more efficient service delivery and grassroots development.

Strategically located in Lagos West Senatorial District, Ojokoro LCDA shares boundaries with Alimosho, Ota (Ogun State), and Ifako-Ijaiye LGA. The region is home to a rapidly growing population, diverse economic activities, and a mix of urban and semi-urban settlements.

Despite its autonomy, Ojokoro LCDA still benefits from state and local government funding, as well as shared resources with Ifako-Ijaiye LGA. Some of the joint initiatives include:

  • Security Collaboration: Coordinating efforts to enhance safety within the region.
  • Inter-LGA Road Projects: Joint road construction efforts connecting Ojokoro and Ifako-Ijaiye communities.
