Tinubu Pays Tribute to Former Lagos HoS, Sunny Ajose
President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Lagos State Government, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the people of Badagry over the passing of Chief Akinsanya Sunny Ajose, former Head of Service in Lagos State.
Chief Ajose, a respected statesman and committed APC leader, passed away early Thursday, January 16, at the age of 78, according to a statement by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President’s spokesman.
In his tribute, President Tinubu described Chief Ajose as an astute administrator, a loyal party leader, and a unifying force in Lagos. Reflecting on their close working relationship during his tenure as governor of Lagos, Tinubu commended Ajose’s dedication to reforming the civil service.
“Chief Sunny Ajose was a dogged civil servant and an inspiring leader. As Head of Service, he was instrumental in uniting the workforce and driving policies that elevated the civil service,” the President noted.
Tinubu further emphasized Ajose’s impact beyond his professional achievements, highlighting his contributions to the development of the Badagry constituency and Lagos State at large.
“His commitment to progress was evident in every role he took on. As the sole representative from Badagry in the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, he played a pivotal role in shaping policies that advanced the state,” the President added.
President Tinubu extended his condolences to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Government, and the people of the state, praying for strength for Chief Ajose’s family and eternal peace for his soul.
